Wandering Camera

Album 390
(Translated by Grif)

All right, here are autumn night pictures.

Moyka river, view from (almost) Church of Our Savior on Spilled Blood toward Palace Square.

We walk along the river...

Palace Square, General Staff building.

Bridge over the Winter Channel is to the right.

Winter Channel.

I started playing with Fisheye lenses (180 diagonal degrees)

I guess that in some cases its usage is quite useful.

For example, you can highlight one main object (granite slab as in this shot), and show everything else much smaller.

Atlases at New Hermitage.
General Staff building on Palace Square.
Very similar to a landing strip :)
Arch of General Stuff.
This is inside (under) the arch. Have you ever looked up in there?

Nevsky Prospekt.

The view from the stairs of Old Duma building. St. Catherine Church is on the right.

Duma building itself.
The opposite view along the Nevsky (Gostiny Dvor on your right).
Hotel "Europe".

Nevsky as seen via fisheye of the driver :)

Close to the Vosstania Square.

Kryukov canal, Mariinsky Theater.

Mariinsky Theater from the other side.

The banner at the entrance says "Traviata".

River Moyka at St. Isaak's Square

River Moyka.

Yusupov palace.

Lattice on Pochtamtsky (Main Post Office) Street.
Arch of Main Post Office building.

This ends Fall'2006. I will go to winter now.

Interestingly enough, this snowy shot was taken on Oct.30 :)
